Celebration Day 2010

1,352 Reasons to Celebrate!

Dr. John Storment and Jagger Bourque at Celebration DayWhat a great day it was!

Thank you to the close to 100 families who attended Fertility & Women’s Health Center of Louisiana’s “Celebration Day" this year, our baby reunion in honor of our fertility successes. Invitees for this year included the 1,352 children who have been born since 2000 with the help of the medical expertise of Drs. William Pelletier, John Storment, and James Zehnder.

Our parents and their children enjoyed fun jumps, face painting, crafts, celebration cake and just plain ol' relaxing under the oaks. A few lucky attendees won door prizes and our annual Halloween children’s costume contest netted prizes for the scariest, most original and cutest get-ups.

The event will take place under the oaks on the back lot at Fertility & Women’s Health Center's office located at 206 E. Farrel Road in Lafayette. This year, Celebration Day was also a collection site for baby items to be donated to Faith House of Acadiana, a crisis shelter for women and children. Faith House was very excited when they picked up all the many boxes of donated wipes, diapers and other baby items that they so desperately need. Thank you to all who brought something!

"This was defintely our best year yet in terms of turnout and weather," said Dr. John Storment, reproductive endocrinologist at Fertility & Women's Health Center.

"We keep in contact with our patients, and we love this event because everybody comes back to say hello. Celebration Day was a great opportunity for our patients to return with the babies they conceived after so many prior disappointments with infertility. It was wonderful to see how proud all of these new parents are,” said Dr. Storment at the conclusion of the event.

Special honoree at this year's event was Jagger Dean Bourque (shown pictured with Dr. Storment above) attending his first Celebration Day. He will also be celebrating his first birthday on October 28th. He is the son of Rachel & Tony Bourque, recipients of the Gift of Hope 2008 award.
